Professor Kattalakis, as she was now known as, strode silently through the Forbidden Forest. The cool autumn sky was a myriad of colors, it was just that right time between evening and duck, when the sun still fought to dominate the skies, but only managed to streak the blues and purples of the sky gold. There was a brisk wind out, rustling through the coloring leaves and giving the entire forest a dark, ominous feel, but enticing with its mysterious depths. She knew better than most the dangers of such a forest, but also or the rare delights it could bring. The jet black trench coat billowed behind her with the wind, her wand tucked safely in the custom strap on her mid-calf boots. Beneath the coat she wore her dark leather halter-corset, lacing up in the back and secured with 3 buckles on either sides as well as on the back. Two straps at the top tied around behind her neck, hence the halter part of the corset.
Striking deep royal blue eyes expertly scanned her surroundings, senses alert though she had little to worry about. She cleared a hill, and at reaching the bottom came to a stop. The wind slowed, and a certain calm came over the forest. Perhaps too calm. Not even the bowtruckles sounded, or the snorts of the Thestrals or Granian’s. Why was she in the forest in the first place? Well besides simply to enjoy it, she was also on the look-out for more Death Eaters, Snatchers even too. With the children of the Chosen one himself attending the school, Azzura couldn’t help but be on guard. Especially with what she’s been hearing from the underbelly of the communities. There were also a couple groups of Snatchers in the nearby area of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade.
A faint clicking came from behind her, followed by a hiss. Azzura turned and stepped back, cresting the very hill she’d did. There were 3 acromantula, all roughly around 6 feet. There was a moment of shock, Acromantula were one of the last thing she’d expect in the forest, least of all attacking a witch. But then again, at the Battle of Hogwarts they were driven from their home, so she could anticipate their newfound hatred, especially when they were bound to have a new leader that had to grow up with that mindset. Another set climbed down the trees on her left, and yet another on her right. It seemed they were getting bigger the more she saw. The faintest of smirks formed on her lips, unsheathing her wand and shooting the notorious green flash of the killing curse. It hit the first spider and it shrieked before falling silent. From there the remaining 8 attacked.
The area erupted in sounds, the huge spiders were closing in faster than she could kill them, but still she kept her cool edge. She shot another 4 down before she had to take evasive maneuvers. And it was a dance, motions fluid, steps precise, beautiful lethality in the swirling fog of the twilight atmosphere, the flashing green light of the forbidden curse and the thuds and crashes as the creatures fell. Two lunged from opposite directions, and she leapt-and-rolled away and skid to avoid a tree. The missing third was behind and knocked her down on her back. “Don’t you dare,” She spoke dangerously as it clicked its glossy black pincers, shiny with venom and droll that threatened to spill. She slashed upward with her wand and used one of her favorite curses- Dolohov’s curse passed onto her and the beast buckled and cried out as massive internal damage was being done. One spider crashed into its dying brother, the last one trying to get to her from the side so she rolled out and lit them both on fire. Because of the action, another few were attracted, and again larger. She threw on into a tree, burned as many as she could to a bitter crisp. While the fire was streaming from her wand the largest spider yet made itself known. And by known, it tackled her from behind and tried to hold her down. She fell with a grunt, using the heels of her boots to keep its ugly head from reaching down to her. But it was around 11 feet big, and her strength wouldn’t hold out forever. Her wand was out of reach, and more excited clicking told her even more were on the way. She kicked at its eyes, making it flinch but still it held steady. One of its legs was trying to position itself on her throat, but swiped across her face instead. Angrily she conjured Bluebell flames and blasted it at the spider. It instinctively rose up despite the fact the flames wouldn’t burn it like normal flames would. But it gave her the chance she needed to get away and pick up her wand, “Crucio!” And a half grin formed on her lips as the giant arachnid squealed and squirmed. She threw it into the smaller approaching pair and then lit the 3 on fire to die.
“Bloody spiders.” She muttered as she straightened, popping her neck and flexing her arms. Almost absently she healed the small scattered scratches. The whole ordeal lasted around 2-3 minutes, and it certainly lit a spark on her temper at how she was taken by surprise and at her poor performance in general. She ran a hand through her wild dark hair in an attempt to tame it down from the scuffles. She gazed around, letting her hair frame her face and fall over her shoulders and she wiped her boots against the ground to wipe the spittle and venom from them. The crackling of the fire was matched with the odor of its burning flesh, and so with a half grimace she sent a gust of air to redirect the smell. The fire would burn itself out without spreading, and with that she continued her walk through the Forest.
