Lisette had just finished coming up with a plan of irritating the crap out of one Tahlia. Even now the part-veela was chuckling to herself knowing that Tahlia hated her guts. Lisette wasn’t a fan of her, either, but it was funny that she tended to think that Albus and Scorpius were hers and only hers. And that… was not true. Not in the least. But then again, there was a lot to be jealous of… Lisette just smirked to herself.
It was actually quite a nice day out… But you wouldn’t find Lisette out there. No, she hated the outdoors. Well… not hated… she just preferred to stay indoors. She had an image to upkeep, and if the wind was blowing her hair around, that would be completely ridiculous!
Ironically, though, a paper of hers blew out of her hands and out onto the grounds as someone rushed out there. Lisette thought she’d recognized the boy… and followed him out. At a distance of course. She stood along the wall of the castle, taking a step here and there, making sure he didn’t… Wait just a second! Who was he with?!
Lisette knew those eyes. Luckily, Lisette was standing in the shadows, not giving a dam that her paper was long gone by now. She knew those eyes… Adriane Koller. A year ahead of her, but enough to look up to. In fact, Lisette admired her. She was pretty and evil at the same time, something that Lisette just couldn’t accomplish sometimes. Sure, she was pretty, that was a given with her veela status, but the evil thing? She tried! But sometimes she could be so airheaded that it didn’t matter what she was trying to accomplish… it didn’t work.
But that boy… what was she doing with that boy?! He didn’t look like anyone that Lisette had tried to make the moves on… in which case he probably wasn’t worth her time. But Adriane? What on Earth was she doing?!
And since they weren’t doing… well… much… Lisette curled her lip and made her way back inside. She would wait there until Adriane would come through the doors… and then she’d spring it on her. Yes, that was the plan.

Elated and Anxious. Those were Adriane's emotions at this point as she waltzed up towards the castle. Well, not waltzed. Hurried. She had things to do before tonight! Like what?! Well, you know like girl things to make sure she looked her best. She was going to be self conscious either way, but she could as least shower again. She needed one.
Her clothes were dry, but she was sure her hair and skin must have smelled like nasty lake water or something. And then her makeup was....gone and she probably looked splotchy and awful. Of course, this was not the case but Adriane wasn't used to being without at least a bit of mascara at school. In the summer, around Gavin, she could go makeupless. But here, there were standards. People watched her, wanted her, and looked up to her.
She bit her lip, trying to stifle the smile that pulled at the corner of her mouth. No use. Gavin loved her! He L-O-V-E-D LOVED her! And he wanted to be with her. He wanted to be her boyfriend (secret boyfriend) and he wanted to be with her, in that way! Adriane had had it in her head for at least two years that she was saving herself for Gavin. He was the one. He was special. He was boyishly handsome, kind, caring, smart...He was everything. And now he was her everything and they could share everything together! And it would be great! SO GREAT!
Adriane was beaming as she opened the door to the castle. Reality still hadn't fully sunk it. Though it was bound to...sooner...rather than later. Right? Riiiight? She took two steps in the door and then...

Lisette was growing impatient. She had been waiting for... oh... probably an hour! A normal person would probably have walked away in that time, but not Lisette. She was persistent... and sometimes irritatingly so. And her friend, her good friend Adriane... the thought made her snort back a laugh, was with a boy. Not just any boy... a boy that Lisette herself hadn't even had the nerve to throw herself at. So... obviously... the boy was not worth the girl's time. Lisette would know... for the most part. Lisette went after guys that were hot and had the personality to match. Sometimes the personality wasn't much... but it wasn't like that mattered. As long as Lisette had something hot on her arm... Most cases it was either Scorpius or Albus... but either way. They were both gorgeous... and so would be any guy that Lisette would associate with. Of course. Now, had Lisette gotten a good look at the boy, and not just the back of his head, she probably would have thought he was good looking. But if it was the boy that she had an inkling that Adriane liked... then that would just not do. He was a Ravenclaw for goodness sake. And probably a muggle-born at that. How revolting! Lisette wasn't against muggleborns, per say, she just... preferred the company of those with a more... sought after bloodline. Like her own. Not many could top Lisette's bloodline... unless your name was a Malfoy... and even... Lisette curled her lip in disgust, a Weasley. Both highly pureblooded families. And then there was hers. Yes. Lisette liked to keep high company. And if Adriane was going to waste her time with the likes of a muggleborn... Lisette just wouldn't have it. There were better guys for Adriane to spend her good looks on... like Lisette's brother.
So when the blue eyed girl came into Lisette's view, she took a few quick steps forward, just so much that she was able to grab onto the girl's wrist to get her attention. "Adriane! Good god! What were you doing with that boy?!" she exclaimed, dropping the girls' arm.

"Adriane! Good god! What were you doing with that boy?!"
The voice didn't even need a face to go with it for Adriane to identify it. Lisette Zabini, a main part of Adriane's possy or that was how Adriane considered it. Lisette was younger but the type of girl you wanted to make good with if you wanted a popular standing in the Slytherin household. Normally, her and Adriane got along. Lisette was the definition of an "it" girl to the core, whereas Adriane merely put up a good facade.
Adriane could live without fancy clothes and a horribly cruel and popular possy of friends...but she had just gotten so used to it and felt that without it, her world might crumble. And this was not the time or the year for that to happen. It was her last year in Hogwarts and the time she needed to explore and make lasting connections that could aid her after school. This is the way things had to be and something Adriane had forgotten about just previously while she was in Gavin's arms.
The voice and the words spoken abruptly by Lisette now snapped her back to reality. Adriane was regal, above nerdy Ravenclaw boys. Gavin was unacceptable and something to turn your nose up at - as if he was a pile of sh!t in the road. The cheery smile instantly faded from Adriane's face and she was back in character once again. She raised an eyebrow at Lisette, her chin raising slightly in the "I'm better than you" attitude she was expected to carry.
"What are you talking about?"
She wasn't playing dumb. Adriane was just playing like she didn't care. It was the best way to try and get this conversation dropped. Quick as can be. Plus, Adriane didn't exactly know what Lisette saw. Surely it was dark enough and they were far enough away that she wouldn't have seen the intricacies of their interactions in the lake. Surely. So on the outside Adriane broadcast a snobby attitude, but on the inside her heart was pounding away with internal panic.

Lisette was purely curious now. What would Adriane be doing with that boy... by the lake... and in such close proximities? If that was even the right word... Lisette wasn't sure. And to be perfectly honest, she didn't really care about using the correct word at this particular moment. No, she just wanted to find out what exactly was going through Adriane Koller's mind. Why she would be giving her Slytherin beauty and charm away on some... Lisette crinkled her nose, Ravenclaw. Not that they were all bad, no... they were better than Hufflepuffs and by far better than those brave and troublemaking Gryffindors. Slytherins were just so much better and should associate themselves with other Slytherins. That was just how Lisette saw it. And she liked to be right.
"Adriane! Good god! What were you doing with that boy?!"
"What are you talking about?"
Nonchalant. She was going to play nonchalant with Lisette? Oh no, she wasn't even going to be given the benefit of the doubt. Lisette squinted her chocolate colored eyes at the older girl as if scanning her for any sort of evidence that she may be playing dumb. Of course, that was the case. It had to be. Because Lisette saw her with that boy! That... boy. Lisette had definitely seen enough to know that it wasn't casual or anything. It was more than casual... and Lisette was definitely going to get to the bottom of this. Lisette was always in the know, and if someone in her group was going to befriend and snuggle up to someone of not as good of a status as her, it was definitely Lisette's business. She was to be in control of the going-ons in their group. That's just how it was... because that was what happened when you were part of the Silver Trio and best friends forever with Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy. Indeed.
"I saw you," she said bluntly. Lisette never was one for letting things pass lightly. "Who was he? Because if he's not worth your time, Adriane... that just can't happen. I saw you hug him and I know your an only child, so it wasn't a brother or something..." Lisette took a tiny step backwards and placed her small hands on her equally small hips in sort of a dominant stance. "If he's anything less than Slytherin he isn't worth your time. I've told you time and time again that my brother has his eye one you..." Lisette smirked. As much as she hated her elder brother... having Adriane in the family would be a plus for her. "You need to tell me now why you were cavorting around with that 'less than the best' boy!" she hissed, furrowing her brow lightly.

"I saw you."
Why couldn't Lisette just be a dumb flirty girl? Why did she have to have eyes? Adriane rolled her eyes lightly in a whatever type fashion and folded her arms across her chest. What was she? A spy? It wasn't as if Adriane was all up in Lisette's boy business her...multiple boy business or whatever she liked. She should have expected as much.
"Who was he? Because if he's not worth your time, Adriane... that just can't happen. I saw you hug him and I know your an only child, so it wasn't a brother or something..."
See, that was the thing right there! Everyone else thought she was an only child. Nobody here even knew about Corinne except for Gavin. Nobody knew her! Not the real Adriane. But, the real Adriane wasn't important in a popular setting. The popular setting was what was important. The status. The connections. And she couldn't have that if she acted how she did around Gavin. Internally, she was freaking out, but on the outside she stayed composed. She saw me hug him! Thank Merlin that's the only thing she saw! Adriane stayed quiet as she knew Lisette was not done with her rant.
She watched the girl take a step back and put her hands upon her lips. The look on Adriane's face said "Oh please". Lisette was tiny. A twig. Thin and thin whereas Adriane had curves, not that she was fat. Point is that Adriane found it absurd when Lisette got all assertive stance like with her.
"If he's anything less than Slytherin he isn't worth your time. I've told you time and time again that my brother has his eye one you..."
"Why can't you just like...drop the brother thing. It's like...so gross creepy that you are trying to whore out your brother.
"You need to tell me now why you were cavorting around with that 'less than the best' boy!"
You could never brush off an issue with Lisette...especially not an issue about boys. Adriane sighed, still internally freaking out.
"He's like some stalker boy. Get your knickers out of a bunch okay? I was trying to let him down easy. He's a Ravvie not some grotesque 'Puff or Gryff. And he's cute so."
Pang. That was the thing her heart did when she called the boy she loved a "stalker boy". Here was Adriane, doing what she did best. Lying. And it killed her, but she pulled it off seamlessly.

Adriane needed to realize that she deserved better than boys from other houses. That or she just needed to go out on a real date with a real boy. Like Émile. And just because Lisette thought it would be good if Adriane dated someone like him did not mean that she was whoring him out. No... she just... liked the prospect of having someone as admirable as a sister and potential date for her elder... brother. Even though they didn't get along... she still considered him her brother.
"Why can't you just like...drop the brother thing. It's like...so gross creepy that you are trying to whore out your brother."
Lisette scoffed in her tiny-ness. Even though she was incredibly tiny, she could pack a punch. She was rather tough for her size. She hmph'd and ignored Adriane's statement. She was not whoring out Émile.
"You need to tell me now why you were cavorting around with that 'less than the best' boy!" Yes, Lisette was completely convinced that this boy was not good enough for Adriane. And it was a mutual respect, wasn't it? Lisette only wanted the best for her friend...
"He's like some stalker boy. Get your knickers out of a bunch okay? I was trying to let him down easy. He's a Ravvie not some grotesque 'Puff or Gryff. And he's cute so."
Stalker boy? "I haven't seen him before..." Lisette said quickly, popping out a hip and placing her hand on it. With her other hand she quickly flipped her black curly hair over her shoulder. "You sure were out there rather long for 'letting him down easy'," Lisette squinted her brown eyes at the taller girl. "He's more than that. I think you've seen him... before. I don't think he's a stalker at all. Don't play with me, Adriane... I may be rather stupid sometimes," the tiny girl's cheeks flushed, "but I know secrets when I see them. Or hear them," she added quickly. Lisette curled her lip when the sudden realization hit her. Ravenclaw? Boy that Adriane was a considerable amount crueller to than normal? Parker, wasn't it? His little sister was going to be Lisette's protégé. "Parker, isn't it?" she asked, a small smirk coming across her lips. "If that's who it was, tell him you never want to speak to him again. This weekend. At the party. So I can witness."

"I haven't seen him before..."
"Of course not. Hence why he is a stalker. Think with that brain of yours," she said, tapping one index finger to her temple to indicate that Lisette should use her brain. This is how they functioned. B!tchy and blunt. That was their friendship and Adriane switched into the role seamlessly.
"You sure were out there rather long for 'letting him down easy'." Adriane let out a bored sigh, as if she could care less what Lisette thought. Inside, she was freaking out. So what if Lisette didn't see them snogging away in the lake? She knew something was up. You didn't stay outside letting a frivolous stalker down for more than 30 minutes. And she had. Well, that's what she was going to say anyhow. 30 minutes plus letting a stalker down. Not kissing a boy she loved who meant nearly everything to her.
"He's more than that. I think you've seen him... before. I don't think he's a stalker at all. Don't play with me, Adriane... I may be rather stupid sometimes."
Adriane nodded curtly in agreement. At least if this was going to be trouble for her, Lisette could insult herself in the process. That was a bright side right there. A silver lining. Whatever you would call it.
"but I know secrets when I see them. Or hear them."
"I'm sure with Albus and Scorpius you definitely do, Lisette." That was a dig and quick-witted one at that.
"Parker, isn't it?"
Bloody hell!, Adriane thought, but her face didn't move.
"Gavin Parker. Yes," she said, shortly. Why in the world did Lisette look so damn pleased?
"If that's who it was, tell him you never want to speak to him again. This weekend. At the party. So I can witness."
Her stomach turned over on itself. NO WAY. No way. No how. She...couldn't! Gavin...that was...no she just couldn't. And now Lisette would be on the watch and...she had to agree. If she didn't agree, there would be no way in saving herself. So, she would have to agree if she wanted to keep her social standing. But, she could always agree and then get out of going to the party. She could fake sick or something. Yes, that's what she would do. And then it would be okay. Yes, that was good plan. Right? Well, Adriane would make one last attempt.
"Right, because I would so want to be seen in public with some stalker Ravenclaw. But, if you really want to sink down and play this stupid childish virginal" Minor pause. Dig. Nobody knew that Adriane was still a virgin so she could take a dig at Lisette. "games Lisette, I can indulge you for a night."

Lisette had a dirty little inkling that this Parker character was in fact not a stalker. Adriane could try and convince Lisette all she wanted... this inkling was not going to go away. Lisette had learned to trust these random spurts of feelings... because they were usually correct. Which meant... Adriane was lying. The thought made Lisette's stomach to a happy little flip and a smirk found it's way onto her lips. She knew something... that Adriane did not think she knew. Lisette didn't exactly know what she knew, but she knew something. Something pertaining to the relationship between one of her 'friends,' and that Parker. This was going to turn out to be good, Lisette could already tell.
"If that's who it was, tell him you never want to speak to him again. This weekend. At the party. So I can witness." Oh yes, Lisette was going to love this. Of course... the thought that Adriane was just that much smarter than her did not occur to her at that moment. In fact... Lisette was pretty proud of herself. She thought she was pretty brilliant.
"Right, because I would so want to be seen in public with some stalker Ravenclaw. But, if you really want to sink down and play this stupid childish virginal games Lisette, I can indulge you for a night."
Well, if Adriane would make an effort to rid herself of this so called stalker, wouldn't it be best to do so in front of an audience? Lisette thought so, because then the people around you would know that you were trying to make an effort to rid yourself of the disgusting thing. In her case, this... "non-stalker," as Lisette was still convinced that he was a "stalker." But... virginal games? What was Adriane playing at? If anyone was a virgin it was her... Lisette surely wasn't. But of course... Lisette wouldn't say anything pertaining to that because she wasn't exactly sure what Adriane was playing at by saying that. "Don't you even think about trying to play with me Adriane... I've got my eye on you," the tiny girl winked, and then crossed her arms over her chest before walking away. Quickly, as she walked, she turned and began to walk backwards, and said, "Seriously. You don't want something like that to damage your rep," she grinned evilly as she turned back around. "Toodles!"
