Gavin was hoping that Adriane wouldn't think that what they had just done was weird. He didn't think it was... But then again, he was a guy. Well, he still was. But anyone who knows guys knows that... of course they enjoy it. But... of course, Gavin being how sweet and accommodating he was wanted to make sure that Adriane wasn't weirded out... and he hoped, he absolutely hoped that she wanted to be seen with him again after that. Well, of course he did. The greatness of the event was nothing compared to Gavin's feeling, his longing for Adriane to not ignore him whenever her friends were around. Gavin absolutely hated that... and he had a feeling that he would hate it even more not that 'this' had happened. Like, really. So when Adriane shook her head, letting him know that 'no' was the answer.
"Happiest I've been in a long time Gavin. I can't even remember."
Gavin simply looked at her, watching as a soft look of thoughtfulness covered her features. Gavin had been happy... this summer, the summer before... pretty much every summer that he'd spent with Adriane. They were always doing something... his favorite thing to do was go out into the grass of his parents home in Cheshire. It was a great place to look out constellations or just watch the sun set. Gavin particularly liked the fire bugs that came out just after the sun would set. They'd fly about, buzzing, lighting up the night. When Gavin was younger he would run into the field and catch them with his sister and brother. He'd never felt inclined to do such things with Adriane, though... He'd wanted to, of course. But looking at them, and then looking at the stars... sharing that moment... it was...
Gavin laid onto his back. The ground suddenly shook, the dim light in the Room was suddenly shifted to a lighter color... a more of a nighttime blue. Gavin furrowed his brow, and suddenly within that nighttime blue, light showed through, twinkling. Gavin smiled lightly, turning his head to face Adriane. Something wizzed past his head, and he turned it back to the ceiling, watching as a couple lightning bugs flew about. The room was giving him what he desired... going back to a time when it didn't matter that they were in different houses, that they weren't allowed to be friends. In the summer... no one seemed to care.

Adriane jumped a bit as the ground shook. Somebody had found them?! The Room of Requirement wasn't theirs anymore? This would be mass detention and....then her brow furrowed in confusion, Adriane squeezing Gavin's hand in her own tightly. As the room took on an oddly familiar midnight blue that seemed have a weird sort of glow to it, her grip upon his hand relaxed. Something about it was familiar and comfortable and gave Adriane a weird warm feeling all throughout her body. And then the twinkling came and a smile set across her lips at once. Adriane turned onto her back so she was shoulder to shoulder with the best boyfriend in the whole wide world, her boyfriend. Her one hand still gripped his, their arms sandwiched between them. Adriane knew exactly what this was and why it gave her that feeling. It was the summer. It was reminiscent of the time she had in which escape from her parents was possible, thanks to Gavin. A cool summer night where the fainest heat was still left over from the day and would lay on your skin in the best way. Gavin would pull her out into the front yard after a lovely family dinner, with his family, and they would land quietly on the grass. Adriane would lay beside him, on her back, and they would just stare up at the stars. It would be quiet and all they could ever hear was the soft music of crickets, accompanied by the faint small lights of fireflies. Adriane always tried to concentrate on those things and that bright sky above them, to avoid her inclinations towards Gavin. Those were the hardest times. They were alone, in a rather romantic atmosphere. Adriane could feel his body close to her and her chest burned with a sort of yearning to just turn over and kiss him. Last summer had been the hardest of all. She was surprised Gavin couldn't feel it. So now, she was filled with the same warmth, except she turned her head to look at Gavin. She smiled at him and he was looking, smiling back at her. Adriane glanced at the firefly briefly, Gavin turning his head away from her to look. Her eyes scanned his features, slowly, before she rolled over on her side and placed the most tender kiss upon his cheek. Adriane turned so she was on her back again and gave his hand the most gentle squeeze. "Earlier, when you said your parents would love to have me.....Did you mean it?"

Gavin loved the summer time. He loved not having to go to school, and that was saying something considering that he liked school and learning. He liked spending time with his siblings, Raven and Nathan. Nate was like a little Gavin... Raven was a little sneakier and definitely more competitive. But they got along well either way. Gavin was pretty protective of Raven, and in turn she watched out for him, being the eyes and ears of Slytherin for him. Gavin enjoyed helping his mother in the garden with her herbs... She grew her own both for dinner and for healing purposes. Gavin's mother always said that if there was something herbal that could heal you versus medicine, that it was better. Gavin listened and learned, as he was hoping to become a healer after he graduated Hogwarts, too. His mother's profession was admirable. He also loved the random nighttime games of quidditch that he'd play with his father and his siblings, so it would be two on two.
One thing that he really loved about summer was seeing Adriane, as if that weren't obvious. She would come over weekly... almost every weekend, and sometimes just once during the week, but sometimes multiple times during the week. Either way, his family adored seeing her, and she and Raven got along well. His mother always cooked special when she knew Adriane was coming over, and they always ate together as a family. It was as if just the mere presence of Adriane brought them together. It wasn't as if they were a broken family, not in the least. But they were usually busy, and his dad would eat in his den often, and Raven would catch a bite and bring it to her room. Gavin usually just ate dinner with Nathan and his mother. They were the closest. But when they were all together with Adriane... it was the best.
"Earlier, when you said your parents would love to have me.....Did you mean it?"
Gavin turned his gaze away from the fire flies for a moment to look into Adriane's eyes. He raised an eyebrow, and a soft smile creased his lips. "Adriane," he chuckled, "Adriane." Gavin picked their hands that were intertwined up and placed a light kiss on her knuckles. "My parents love you. They would love having you around... I would love having you around. My family is... whole when you're around. Always..."

When Adriane was with Gavin's family, it was as if everything was right in the world. It seemed as though she fit right in. Gavin's mom could well be her own mother and same went for Gavin's dad. Adriane looked upon Raven as a little sister, especially with them being in the same house and all. And Nathan was quite adorable, Adriane finding him to be a lot like Gavin except spunkier and more amusing. Gavin's family was quite like her own family, except that Adriane never thought as Gavin as a brother. And although things were mostly perfect when she was there, sometimes she would still experience a twinge of jealousy or sadness. Her family had never been like Gavin's. They had never been able to sit down to the table and have a lighthearted meal where questions were posed to one another out of genuine caring for the other person. Not even when Corinne was alive. Every single question had a motive. Oh, how did your day go? AKA How long did you study? Are you satisfactory? Will you make us look good? That's why they rarely had family dinners and when they did, the dinner usually ended tensely. Now that Corinne wasn't around, family dinners just ended in explosions. Literal and metaphorical. An explosion of emotion from Adriane or an actual explosion made by someone's wand in frustration. She had so much hatred buried down in her. So, it was natural to be jealous that such a thing was not possible with her own flesh and blood. And it was natural for her to be sad that Gavin had his siblings while she missed her one sister. Perfectly acceptable. "Adriane."Her brow furrowed as Gavin chuckled at her. "Adriane."She sighed, her brow relaxing as well as her entire expression as Gavin placed that light kiss upon her knuckles. "My parents love you. They would love having you around... I would love having you around. My family is... whole when you're around. Always..."She smiled, touched. "You know I love your family right? I don't think you even understand how much I appreciate being around them and having them treat me as if I'm a part of it...a part of your family. Gavin........I want it to be like that.........always. And with you. Always." Quite the statement. Adriane bit down on her bottom lip.

Gavin was having an incredible day and night. But the thought of Adriane bringing up his family drew his high down a little bit. Why was she so keen on going to his house all the time, he wondered. Gavin hardly went over to the Koller residence... and when he did... it was always so stiff and heavy. It was as if they never had fun over there. Which... of course was a huge difference from his house, where pretty much everything was made into something fun. You have to get the gnomes out of the garden? Make it into a game. Quidditch was a usual thing after dinner... Gavin's family liked to play it when it was just getting dark... it made it all the more difficult but also quite a bit more fun. Raven complained a lot because she said it distorted her vision, but everyone else would just laugh... all in understanding about her competitiveness. But there wasn't any of that at Adriane's house. It seemed that her parents forced smiles at her when he would go there. Awkward... but he didn't go there very often. Gavin didn't know very much about Adriane's family. And he didn't ask, either.
"You know I love your family right? I don't think you even understand how much I appreciate being around them and having them treat me as if I'm a part of it...a part of your family. Gavin........I want it to be like that.........always. And with you. Always."
Gavin took their entwined hands and brought them back down to where they were prior to his kiss. Gavin listened to her words, as always. But... had she said... always? Always... as in always? Like, forever, like eternity? Well, of course not eternity because that was impossible unless you were a vampire. Which... they were obviously not. So... always as in the rest of their lives? Gavin's eyes grew a little wide, and he shoved his bottom lip into his mouth and bit down. This was moving very, very fast. Not that he hadn't thought about being with Adriane always... he did of course. But... he didn't say anything considering he thought that she did not feel that way. Gavin swallowed, but there was still a small lump in his throat. "Always?" he squeaked, hoping that it wouldn't squeak... but apparently that was impossible. "I m-mean... I'm glad..." Gavin wasn't about to tell her about the image montage that happened in his mind every time he thought about her...

UH-OH. No really, uh-oh. Like uh-oh spaghettios. Like uh-oh when Adriane's creator's brother was two and sat in his chair at the table and spilled the whole box of cheerios on the floor. Granted, that was super cute and caught on camera...this, not so much. Thank Merlin it wasn't caught on camera and this was no super cute. Okay, maybe some thought Gavin could look like a cute puppy dog when he did that thing with his lip. But, Adriane just found it frightening. Frightening and hurtful. She did it. She had done the clingy girl after her first time thing hadn't she?! But really! What was so wrong with that?! That is why she had waited for Gavin. But, shouldn't she have told that to him ahead of time? What ahead of time? There was no ahead of time? They had just started dating mere hours ago. But they had known each other for almost 10 years! That counted right?! Oh boy. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. All Adriane wanted to do was sink below the covers. Well no. Not really because Gavin didn't have clothes on. She didn't have clothes on! And she was in bed with him and she had just gave it up to him and now she had gone and said forever and scared the bejesus out of him! OH MERLIN. And then he was going to dump her or freak out on her or just lay there in silence. And then Adriane could cry. And then she would be alone and then her whole life would fall apart and she would have to live with her family. She would lose Gavin. She would be a mess. OH NO! "Always?" And he squeaked and then Adriane's eyes teared up immediately and she pulled her hand away from his and her hands came out from under the covers and over her eyes. Twice in one day! Twice in one day she was about to do this in front of Gavin. Her breath was shallow and quick and wouldn't stop, but no tears fell just yet. "I m-mean... I'm glad...""Don't say it if you don't mean it Gavin!" she said sharply, moving her hands down from her face and looking at him, eyes completely watery as one single tear ran a marathon down her cheek. She swiped at it, pouting and scooted away from him in bed.

Gavin felt really stupid. Well... he felt stupid quite often. But he felt even more awkward now that he was silent and gasping and biting and widening his eyes in their spaces in their sockets. Yes, Gavin was a bit of a nerd. And a lot of the time, he just preferred to stay quiet because it was just easier that way and then he wouldn't squeak out replies to what the person was saying and make them feel ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE which was not at all his intention! No. But Gavin seemed to do that a lot, however. Either he would say something and it would hurt the other person's feelings, or he wouldn't say anything at all, in attempt to make them feel better, but that doesn't seem to work either. No... because they expect you to say something even when you don't have anything to say. Gavin never knew what to say in situations like this, so his natural reaction was to be quiet. Whichhhhhh.... didn't work. Nothing Gavin ever did in situations like this worked. Gavin... wasn't very good at this.
"Always?" he squeaked. "I m-mean... I'm glad..."
Gavin curled his recently released fingers into a ball and clenched his fist tightly. Was he ruining things? Probably.
"Don't say it if you don't mean it Gavin!"
Gavin looked at her, furrowing his brow a moment and then raising one of his eyebrows. Was he confused? YEAH. She should know that he doesn't do well when he's put on the spot and such. He had always been like that. But Gavin wanted to slap himself silly, get out of the bed, put his clothes back on, and leave feeling like an @ss. She was sure making him feel like one with her watery eyes and the way she was edging away from him the way she was. Gavin sighed a little heavier than intended when a stray tear rolled down her cheek and he lay on his back once again, furious with himself for being such an imbecile by reacting that way. "It's just... always scared me. It... It isn't l-like I don't think about us... you know... now. And then after graduating from Hogwarts... and th-then you kn-know... us... together... with a sm-small house with a picket fence... dogs and k-kids..." he said, his voice getting softer with each word. He was sure she probably heard it all, though.
Gavin felt incredibly stupid. He sighed, a little lighter this time, and sat up, running his hand through his hair.

And then after graduating from Hogwarts... and th-then you kn-know... us... together... with a sm-small house with a picket fence... dogs and k-kids..."And that just seemed to fix it all. Entirely. Her brow at first furrowed in conclusion and then raised. Her mouth parted slightly in surprise before her lips curled into a small, touched smile. Adriane scooted back over towards him slowly, and grabbed one of his hands gently so she wrapped it around her. At the same time she wrapped a hand around his abdomen in a half hug, tilting her head up and placing a soft kiss upon his cheek. "You think about us, do you?" she said, elated and biting her bottom lip but smiling at the same time - unable to resist it. "A picket fence and dogs and kids huh?" Adriane touched her nose to his briefly before kissing him quickly upon the lips. "I like the way you think, Gavin. A lot. A lot..a lot..a lot," she said, whispering. Adriane would have climbed on top of him but...well...that was...quite scandalous and..no..that wasn't cuddling type thing in their...yeah. "Don't be mad at me, okay? Please? I'm sorry I got upset. I just...I guess I will be your clingy girlfriend at times if you can deal with that. You might get sick of me." Adriane was willing him to contest it and tell her he could never be sick of her and that he wanted her forever. Her and Gavin. In a small house with a white picket fence, dogs, and cute kids running about. And his parents would come over to visit...and she would be rid of hers by then....the thought was whisked from her mind so easily. No emotion about that.

Gavin felt ridiculous. He knew that Adriane must think he was crazy for saying such things. They'd only been dating for the smaller half of the day... and... this was so fast! Of course, they had been friends for over ten years. And that's a long time. Yes. A long time. Of course, back then, Gavin hadn't thought about Adriane like that. Heck... he hadn't thought about her like that until he was maybe in his sixth or seventh year. But then again, he did usually brush and throw those thoughts away when they came to him. Gavin had always told himself that they were wrong and bad and he'd replace them with something more school-related when they happened. Gavin never thought about those types of things with Adriane for more than a minute... He felt like she'd telepathically punish him if he did!
"You think about us, do you? A picket fence and dogs and kids huh? I like the way you think, Gavin. A lot. A lot..a lot..a lot."
Gavin jumped a little at her sudden touch, but smiled a little when she took one of his hands and put it around her, and in turn, she hugged him back, planting a couple kisses, and gently touching her nose to his. Gavin blushed though, at the touch... they were still... well... erm... you know. Gavin shoved his bottom lip into his mouth again, completely unable to say anything in his current state. With the touching, and the kissing, and the... skin... and the... SKIN! AH! Gavin's cheeks grew to be a little redder once again.
"Don't be mad at me, okay? Please? I'm sorry I got upset. I just...I guess I will be your clingy girlfriend at times if you can deal with that. You might get sick of me."
Oh, of course Gavin wouldn't mind if she were a clingy girlfriend. It wouldn't happen all the time, would it? No, because he knew, knew that she would be her old Adriane self once her friends were around. So she wouldn't be clingy then, so it'd be okay. If it wasn't all the time. But once Gavin thought about it... he figured her being clingy all the time wouldn't be so bad... "You like th-the way I think?" he smirked slightly, "was it too crazy or too s-s-ooon? Or something? You're n-not mad that I thought about that, right?" Gavin blushed for talking so much... but he wasn't done yet. "I don't think I could get sick of you..."

Gavin intrigued Adriane. More than a little. He was the one boy that could keep her attention, because even though she had known him for so long, she had never known him like this. Adriane had never snuggled up next to him beneath the covers of a recently well-treated bed. He had never startled so briefly in response or blushed in her closest presence. Would she get used to seeing all of these things? Gavin, up close and personal. Would she tire of it? No, Adriane was fairly sure he would never fail to entrance her or attract her in one simple way or another. He could be shy and yet forward at times, still now seemingly taken with the new way they treated on another and the new situation. Not to say that Adriane was so confident about it herself. It was so..personal. This, right now. And the touching and the...yeah. But when she noticed the tinge upon his cheeks, all she did was smile. "You like th-the way I think?"She nodded her head and smiled softly before placing a kiss upon his jaw, muttering the lightest "Mhm" as she took in the hint of a smirk. "was it too crazy or too s-s-ooon? Or something? You're n-not mad that I thought about that, right? I don't think I could get sick of you...""Gavin, no. Not too crazy or too soon. Not for me. I'm not mad. I'm happy. I hadn't thought about it in such detail but....I like the thought. No, no I love the thought, okay? And....." Adriane blushed lightly. "I just had the same thought actually. Gavin, I love everything about you. Even how you get all nervous and flustered. I could never get sick of it." Adriane looked up at him in the lovey dovey sort of way.

Gavin wished that he would stop blushing. He was blushing a lot, and it was really starting to irritate him. Especially since it was pretty much every time that Adriane touched him that he would blush. And if they were going to be a thing and they were going to be doing this more often... he was going to have to get used to the skin and the touching and the kissing of the shoulder and jaw and... everywhere... Gavin sighed lightly through his nose. He was probably the most inexperienced boyfriend she'd ever had... and probably the most innocent, as much as that thought pained him. Gavin wished that he'd at least kissed a girl before today... that way he wouldn't have been completely terrible. Gavin was still under the impression that he was a terrible kisser and a terrible... well... everything. He just wanted to impress Adriane...
And then he blushed again once her lips brushed his jaw. Yeah, this was going to be harder than he had anticipated.
"Gavin, no. Not too crazy or too soon. Not for me. I'm not mad. I'm happy. I hadn't thought about it in such detail but....I like the thought. No, no I love the thought, okay? And....."
Gavin pulled away a little so he could look at her face. He raised an eyebrow during her little pause as if waiting for her to finish, and place a soft kiss on her cheek. It was almost as if he were saying by kissing them that he didn't mind she was blushing... Because... of course he didn't. He was doing a lot of blushing himself.
"I just had the same thought actually. Gavin, I love everything about you. Even how you get all nervous and flustered. I could never get sick of it."
So she had noticed how nervous and flustered he got around her! This experience, well, the experience of being nervous and flustered around Adriane was completely new to Gavin. He hadn't ever been like that when they were just friends. Probably because every time that Gavin would think about them as more than that, he'd quickly shove the thought away and retreat it back into its hiding place in the corner of his mind. Faaaaaar away. Gavin never thought he was good enough for her, and even now as they were sitting together... almost... well... naked! he felt as though it were a dream, or that it could change and end at any moment. "I'm g-glad. I would say th-that you are perfect... but..." Gavin blushed again. What was with that?! "I'll just stick with that I love everything about you, too..." he smiled just the slightest bit and cocked his head to the side a little. "You're like... all I could ever want."

When Gavin kissed her cheek, all Adriane had it in her to do was smile at him softly. He had this miraculous way about him. Really he did. Gavin Parker was the one person she knew that could put her completely at ease. He was the sole reason she never screamed at her parents when he was around. He just had something about him...an air...a way...that calmed her and served to make her parents nearly tolerable so that she could nearly forget. Adriane never could though, forget that is, entirely. There was always that density to the air in her house. It was if it was hard to breath, but looking at Gavin always gave her that extra breath she needed as not to suffocate and then explode. He really saved her from herself a good amount of the time. Would he ever grasp how much she could drive herself mad over Corinne? Of course not. But, Gavin would be there and that, to Adriane, was the most spectacular thing in the universe. "I'm g-glad. I would say th-that you are perfect... but..."Adriane watched him blushed and and kept smiling, blushing lightly herself. The compliments were something she would have to get used to, for sure. Had guys complimented her before? Yes. "Hot" or something in that arena. But never the way Gavin put things. Never ever had they looked at her like that and spoken to her in that tone and paid her the sweetest compliments that many girls would die to hear. No, that was just special for her. Her special Gavin. He was all hers and Adriane never wanted to share. Ever. "I'll just stick with that I love everything about you, too...You're like... all I could ever want."Oh...and he managed to take her breath away too. He just said it so simply and her heart did this warm, tight leaping thing where it hurt, almost, in the best way. And her chest felt tense and her stomach all fluttery. Adriane was in love. Simply and completely and she would not trade it for anything in the world. "I wouldn't trade you for anything or anyone, Gavin," she said, smiling softly, and moving her lips closer to his..waiting.

Gavin was running out of things to say. He'd said everything on his mind... and... he felt if he kept talking he would just keep repeating himself and sound like a broken record or something. That was always the worst. Although... he didn't exactly feel like he needed to impress Adriane anymore. Of course he wanted to... it was... the man in him. But... there, in the room... he didn't need to, and he knew that. In fact, he didn't know why he was even going off on such a tangent like this in his mind... Of course... because he was so quiet going off on random tangents that freaked him out happened quite often, as his mind seemed to be the only safe place where he could keep his thoughts. He wouldn't write in a journal or a diary of sorts because that was so easy to break into... but your mind? That was safe. Mental tangents were the only way that Gavin felt he could keep himself completely sane. Completely sane.
"I wouldn't trade you for anything or anyone, Gavin."
A small smile crept up on Gavin's lips. He looked out on the horizon of his created summer escape, the lightning bugs flitting about. He was glad that she felt that way. He felt that way. Was he going to say it again? No. Instead as a lightning bug made its way towards them, Gavin lifted his hands, capturing it between his cupped palms. His small smile faded and was replaced with more of a smirk as he turned to Adriane, who had pursed lips. His eyes widened a bit as he was embarrassed that he hadn't noticed. But, still holding onto the bug, he leaned in, closing his eyes. He pressed his lips against Adriane's a moment, before pulling away ever the slightest bit, but leaving his nose against her. He gasped a little... kissing her was... Gavin bit his lip. His chest tightened and he wanted to speak, but he couldn't for a lump had formed in his throat. Gavin looked down at her lips and back up at her eyes before resting his forehead against hers. He didn't want to move, he didn't want to leave... Gavin closed his eyes and leaned in again, this time kissing her with a little more need, a little more desperation. But... of course, it was still Gavin.
Gavin had almost forgotten about the lightning bug until it tickled his palm. He didn't want to let go from their kiss... but he did so, and inhaled sharply as he rested his forehead against hers again. He brought his hands up to just below their faces. Opening his hands just a little bit so they could see the light from the bug shining through his hands. "Make a wish..."

No, she wouldn't trade him and she couldn't. He wanted her now as much as she wanted him and for just as long in the future. In her mind, that settled it. There was no turning back. Gavin agreed to put up with the hardships that would take place now in hopes that the future would be worth it. Of course, these hardships had yet to be faced. This was day 1. They had kissed, professed their love, and made...love all in the same day. There had been no group social interaction. They were not faced with being together in public or rather, staying apart in public. The reality had become a little clearer when she had talked with Lisette during the time before she came here, but that wasn't a thought running through Adriane's mind at the moment. She had blocked it out and Adriane was quite good at compartmentalizing feelings when she had to. Yes, that's how she had lasted this long without taking a shot at either of her parents or making a move on Gavin. No, now Gavin and her had a sort of agreement. They were to love each other -- forever. Surprisingly enough, the thought of that commitment didn't scare her. Adriane, in fact, wanted nothing more than to have that commitment. And so she waited very patiently for Gavin to kiss her and he did. He gave her the best kisses by far. They weren't overwhelming in a bad way and they left her longing for more. Adriane could hardly get enough of him and when he pulled away, she would experience that tight pull in her chest as if him being a few more inches away from her hurt. Adriane breathed in deeply as to try and compose herself, opening her eyes and watching him closely as he studied her and bit his lip as if he was trying to resist leaning in once more. Her eyes fluttered close as soon as she saw Gavin's eyelids and then he kissed her...again. Adriane craved him. Yes, that was the word. When they were apart, before all of this happened, she graved him. Now it was much worse but so worth it. Her brow furrowed disappointment as Gavin just pulled away from her. But, she could tell by the way he inhaled and kept his forehead gently against her own that he did not like pulling away either. The smallest smile formed upon her lips as Gavin brought his hands up towards their faces, a gentle light flowing between his fingers. Her smile widened a bit. "Make a wish..."I wish I could have you forever and ever, she thought, looking up from Gavin's hands to his eyes. Forever and ever. "I hope it comes true," she whispered.

Gavin didn't want to pull away. In... more ways than just with the kissing. Of course he didn't want to pull away from a kiss with Adriane... he felt... it was... you just couldn't explain how Gavin felt when he kissed Adriane. But that doesn't matter right now. He didn't want to pull away from her physically, like kissing... or body. He liked being close to her. And he didn't want to pull away from her emotionally, either. Gavin was about ninety percent sure that she would at least try not to pull any stunts in front of her friends. Heck, the way things were going, maybe she would give up the whole charade. Considering that they only had one year left of school and what happened after school didn't matter to anyone... heck, why does everything matter so much to people? Why couldn't they keep their noses in their own business, and leave them be? Gavin would be in high heaven if that would happen. Adriane giving up her charade, that is. You wouldn't even be able to understand how happy he would be. Gavin gave Adriane a small smile and held the fire fly up to her.
"I hope it comes true."
Gavin looked down at the small bug before outstretching his arms and letting it go free. He watched as the light flickered a little and then went out, and back on as they sometimes do. His smile didn't falter once as he turned back to Adriane and planted a soft kiss on her jaw line. "Whatever it is," he whispered, somewhat close to her ear, "I'm sure it will." Gavin's smile grew a little more, and he leaned closer, taking his left and and putting it on the back of her neck, underneath her hair. He pulled away long enough with his face to look into Adriane's pretty blue eyes and smile before leaning down again and kissing her neck softly, just below her ear. He then placed one on her neck where it attached to her shoulder, and then one on her bare shoulder. It didn't even occur to him that they weren't clothed anymore.
